Please see below what we learnt in 6S for the W/C 22.04.24

Maths: We started a geometry unit of work and distinguished angles between acute, obtuse and reflex. We also measured angles accurately using a protractor.

Reading: We looked at texts about cats and applied our vocabulary and inference skills.

Writing: We started our non-fiction unit of work based on 'Pet Peeves' of the Jane Considine's 'The Write Stuff'. We picked out the key features, generated some idioms and applied them to a sentence stacking lesson.

PE: Swimming at St James and Cricket with ICS

History: We looked at some of the legislation based around Human Rights, triggered by the atrocities of WW2.

Science: We learned the difference between sexual and asexual reproduction, learning about vocabulary such as pollination and germination.

Art: The class learned about modernism, starting with Victorian Art.
