Last week, the children had their assessments in grammar, punctuation, spelling and reading. Well done to all for their incredible efforts, and for giving it their best shot!
In Computing, we have started our learning of e-safety. We began discussing what we should and shouldn't share online. We also discussed how we can stay safe online. In these lessons, the children will cover what it means to be safe online, and have created some amazing posters to outline the importance of not giving out any personal information to strangers. The children then, in pairs, completed a sheet ticking who they felt personal information should be shared with, and then we discussed as a class to see who else agreed.

In English, we spent some time working on our dictionary skills. As a class, we thought of some words to search for. The children were asked to find out the word class of the selected work, the definition and then find out the synonym of the word using the thesaurus.

We have been working hard on creating our draft version of our alternative version of a fairy tail story where pupils continued with the plot and how the wolf has escaped jail. Pupils used incredible adjectives, alliteration and really thought about creative ways the wolf could escape to freedom. We then edited and rewrote our story.
In Science, geography and history, we completed an end-of-unit assessment looking at identifying keywords that we have used throughout the unit of work and completing a multiple-choice quiz. The children then shared something from each subject that they had learnt.
In PSHE, we carried on looking at Sam and his feelings. We shared thoughts and ideas using post-it notes, writing about how other people's actions would impact Sam, and how we thought he may be feeling. We then thought about how we would make him feel if he was to begin in a classroom with us.
Have a great week off everyone!
