This week we had Shrove Tuesday where the children were able to create their own pancakes with a variety of toppings, and also World Book Day when we dressed up as our favourite book character and wrote a review of our favourite book.

English - Wrote some sentences using sentence stacking based on George's Marvellous Medicine. We are writing a character description to describe George's wicked grandma. We have been making our sentences effective using similes/metaphors and expanded noun phrases.

Maths - Recapping place values by using manipulatives and place-value charts. We also began to look at how we can partition numbers up to 100.

History - Learnt about Julias Caesar and why he was an important leader in Ancient Rome.

Science - Learnt about how sound travels and how we could conduct an experiment to measure the speed of sound.

PE - Practised our skills of attacking and defending by competing against one another to dribble the ball to the opposite end of the football cage without being tagged by an opponent.

RE- Focussed on the keywords of 'forgiveness' and 'resentment.' We worked in small groups to act out scenarios and then demonstrated how we think the scenario should have ended and whether we should show forgiveness or not.
