The first week back after half-term!

PE - Continued to have our weekly dance sessions.

English - Read an extract from 'George's marvellous medicine' and thought of negative adjectives to describe the grandma. Some ideas were 'hollow cheeks, black rotten teeth, dead and sunken eyes, messy hair.'

We then began to write sentences using sentence-stacking lessons using features such as expanded noun phrases and similies.

Maths - Continued with multiplication. Practising multiplying a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number by exchanging. 

Geography - Began our new topic of 'Northern Ireland.' We looked at where Northern Ireland is using a map and identified the key features, such as the capital city, the counties and Lough Neagh.

Rock Kidz Day! 

Year 3 loved the workshops with Rock Kidz where there was lots of dancing and motivational words.

We learnt the importance of resilience and confidence.
