Read on to find out more about our last week this half term..
English - Used PIXL therapies to re-cap grammar skills that we needed some extra practice on. We looked at what a noun and an adjective are and how we can identify these in a text.
PE - Played a game of handball using the skills and knowledge we had put into place during the last six PE lessons. We also had our final dance lesson where we performed our dance routines.
History - Assessed our learning of 'Life in Ancient Rome' by creating some wonderful double-page spreads to showcase everything we have learnt on our topic.
Geography - We compared Lithuania and the UK using physical and human features such as population, landmarks, location and languages spoken.
Art - We produced two pieces of artwork based on 'The Fall of Icarus' and 'The Scream'. The children used complementary colours, discussed the design, identified the line, shape, form and colour. The children used different shapes to create their own artwork for 'The Fall of Icarus'. They then used watercolours to create the background of their artwork. Inspired by 'The Scream' they created their own drawings of someone screaming.
Computing - Used turtle academy to program a turtle, programming letters, looking at patterns and repeats, as well as using loops to create shapes.
