Read on to find out more about Spring 2 Week 1..........

English - We wrote our 'independent write' based on the book The Magic Paintbrush.

As a class, we discussed the success criteria and the skills that were non-negotiable in our writing. This included using inverted commas for dialogue, paragraphs, punctuation, adverbs and alliteration. We then used a narrative map to plan our writing and what exactly we should include in each plot point.

There was some beautiful writing, Miss Bunker and Mrs T were really impressed with the progress made.

Maths - We continued our topic on 'Multiplication and division' and used concrete resources to secure our understanding of multiplication using tens and ones. 

History - Explored what daily life was like in Ancient Rome and what activities there were.

PSHE - Achieved a goal of making a potato person as a group, discussing what skills were needed in order to achieve the goal.
