This week saw the conclusion of our baking project. Pupils worked in small groups over a series of Maths lessons to create a product for their bakery - this week, they made them!
Firstly, we looked at ingredient quantities and scaling up recipes for larger groups. Then, we looked at pricing our ingredients and comparing best value at different places - considering discounts too! We then looked at designing our boxes, using our knowledge of calculating volume of shapes and our knowledge of 3D nets. Finally, we looked at solving some Maths problems involving cooking!
