[singlepic id=361 w=320 h=240 float=left]AN OLYMPIC medallist paid a visit to Howard Junior School in Lynn.
Bryan Steel, one of Britain’s top cyclists and a multiple Olympic medal winner, was there to present awards to children for good behaviour and 100 per cent attendance.
Mr Steel, 44, appeared in four Olympic Games for Great Britain.
He took along the bronze medal he won in cycling at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and the silver medal gained at the 2004 Games in Athens, for the children to look at and hold.
Gregory Hill, headteacher of Howard Junior, said: “It was fantastic to have Bryan visit. This was especially important to the children as we are just about to enter the 2012 Olympic year.”
“What an amazing end for 2011 at Howard Junior School and Bryan’s visit shows Howard’s clear commitment towards the Olympics value and ambitions. We were also the first school in this region to visit the Olympic site while it was under construction.”
