[singlepic id=352 w=320 h=240 float=right]A SCHOOL pushed maths and English as it prepared to rock out last night and raise money for Children in Need with a charity concert.
Teachers and students at Howard Junior School, Gaywood, were inspired by the film, School of Rock.
The concert featured performances from groups of students and a whole talent pool of the best musicians in the community.
Headmaster Gregory Hill said: “The atmosphere was electric and everyone was particularly looking forward to seeing our famous deputy head Andy Prior.
“Who else in his position is prepared to dress up and sing rock songs to raise money?
“He really does have the X-Factor.”
The concert, which was completely sold-out, was expected to raise hundreds of pounds with tickets and refreshment sales.
