WELCOME TO HOWARD JUNIOR SCHOOL
"Together Everyone Achieves More"
Our school motto is Together Everyone Achieves More. I personally feel that this summarises our school, one which is at the ‘heart’ of the local community. A vibrant learning hub where everyone is welcomed and supported. A school where children are instilled with a life long love of learning.
Howard Junior School (Academy) is proud of all the wonderful day to day achievements that our pupils make. Each one is celebrated. I do hope if you visit our school, you can see by the children’s smiles and enjoyment of their academic pursuits, what a great school Howard Junior School is.
We are firmly committed to equality for all and an ‘Every Child Matters’ agenda. Our vision is to empower students to accelerate and personalise their learning by enabling them to effectively engage and collaborate with their peers, their community and the real world through the use of technology.
Our last OFSTED report rated the school as GOOD, I do hope you will kindly take the time to read it.
Mr Gregory L. Hill
We are firmly committed to ensuring that all children have the opportunity to fulfil their potential. Our ethos and values contribute to making this objective a reality. These are outlined below:
All children have the right to attend a school that provides a safe, supportive and inspiring educational experience.
The Academy is a place where children progress academically, socially and morally.
- All children have the right to aim high and be given the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to pursue their dreams and ambitions.
- Academy staff, pupils, parents, governors and members of the local and wider community all have a vital role to play in the development and progression of our children.
- Everyone in our Academy is a learner; we progress together and in doing so continually strive to shift boundaries and exceed expectations, ultimately to the benefit of our children.
