MUGA - Multi-Use Games Area

Having previously completed the Pirate Ship as phase one, phase two of Howard Junior School's complete redevelopment of the playground area consists of a large Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) for our learners to use during P.E lessons; as well as during break and lunch times.

The flooring is marked with the required markings for various sports and activities, including football, basketball, netball and tennis.

At either end of the MUGA there are goals that can be used for football and hockey, with basketball hoops above them to increase the range of sports that our new MUGA can accommodate.

Finishing off the MUGA, the rear wall is being redeveloped. The previous mural proved very popular with our learners, it was originally designed with the help of previous students; we are now refreshing the entire design with concepts put forward by our current students.

Bookmark this page and check back for more developments, including a picture of the finished MUGA, soon.
