MUGA - Multi-Use Games Area

Having previously completed the Pirate Ship as phase one, phase two of Howard Junior School's complete redevelopment of the playground area consists of a large Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) for our learners to use during P.E lessons; as well as during break and lunch times.

The flooring is marked with the required markings for various sports and activities, including football, basketball, netball and tennis.

At either end of the MUGA there are goals that can be used for football and hockey, with basketball hoops above them to increase the range of sports that our new MUGA can accommodate.

Finishing off the MUGA, the rear wall is decorated with a giant bookshelf mural, designed and painted by our pupils in collaboration with local artist Nicola Marray-Woods.
