Meet Biscuit and Bramble – Howard Junior School’s two new reading rabbits.
The fluffy friends have made their debut the school this week.
But they are more than just pets – they have been bought in to ‘listen’ to the pupils read.
Headteacher Gregory Hill explained: “This is something that has never been done before in this area.
“The children like reading to the book bunnies as they are very calm and patient.
“It’s a unique, exciting yet relaxing way for the children to read and the rabbits are so docile, they love to be read to. It’s a win-win situation.”
The rabbits are part of the school’s reward structure to encourage reading.
