Howard pupils support Nepal

Lynn’s Howard Junior School has raised more than £150 in support of its twin school in Nepal.

They did it by painting a giant shoe and covering it in spare change, in order to buy the students in Nepal better footwear after learning that many walked great distances to the school, through areas heavily damaged by recent earthquakes, in flip-flops.

Teacher Anna Clutterham, pictured above, said: “It can be cold in the Himalayas.”

With the money, the school purchased 50 pairs of Plimsolls, chosen because they are light and sturdy, for the children in Nepal.
