A bear went on an Easter trip to China with Georgia Newell, a teacher at Howard Junior School in Lynn.

She was visiting her brother, Callum Newell, who was teaching at a school in Xian and took Teddy, her Norwich City FC mascot.

Pupils from both schools exchanged photographs with each other so they could learn more about each others’ lives.

Ms Newell said: “People wanted to know what the symbol on the bear was, they loved it. He is quite famous in China now.”

A teacher from Xian will visit Howard Junior in December.

Pupils are now choosing a Chinese name for the bear to mark the visit.
